World Book Day
A huge thank you to our school community for the excellent engagement and enjoyment the children have had celebrating World Book Day.
Pupils have enjoyed special Key Stage Assemblies looking at the history of World Book Day and sharing their costumes and favourite books. There has also been participation in online events led by famous children’s authors. Our celebration concluded with a story telling relay, with teachers dashing from class to class to pick up a great story where the last teacher left off.
Every child has received a book token to take home so that they can purchase a book of their own.
We have all enjoyed thinking about how ‘you are a reader’ the theme for World Book Day this year.

Poetry Competition Winners!
We received a fantastic standard of entries to our poetry competition. This made judging really tricky! However, two winners were picked after much debate. Congratulations to Aliyah from Asteroids and Alexis from Satellites for their excellent entries which can be seen below.
