Ms Brown is the TA in Satellites Class.
Curriculum Meeting
PE
PE will be on a Monday morning with Mrs Norton and a Friday afternoon with Mrs Noble.
This term we will be focsuing on football on a Monday and basketball on a Friday. Please remember to come to school in your PE kits on our PE days.

Why is Archaeology Important?
This term we will be learning about the Ancient Egyptians. We will be exploring how we know everything about the Ancient Egyptians – from how they used to live, mummification, the their beliefs in the afterlife and the different gods and goddesses.
Our Core text for this term is ‘ The Eygptian Cinderella’ by Shirley Climo.
Home Learning
Reading
Every child will bring home a book to read to an adult. They may have a colour banded book or a ‘Reading for Pleasure’ book (if they are a free reader). Please listen to your child read everyday. Five minutes reading at home each day will help your child to develop their reading skills further.
Your child will also bring home a second book this is a ‘Reading for Pleasure’ book. This is a book that you can enjoy reading to your child or you may enjoy reading it together.
Please remember to always sign your child’s reading record each day.
Here is a small selection of age appropriate books that you might enjoy reading with you child:
Spellings
Spellings will be set every Monday and will be linked to our whole class, spelling lessons. Weekly spellings will be tested in school on the following Monday. Please support your child in learning their 10 weekly spellings.
Statutory Word Lists:
If you have learnt your spellings for the week, why not challenge yourself to learn a few words from the statutory word lists below.
Maths
Play on Times Table Rock Stars for at least 5 minutes each day.
Visit www.ttrockstars.com or download the app to login and play!
Visit the ‘Garage’ to practice the times tables that Mrs Norton and Mrs Noble have set for you to learn. Sometimes this will be one times table and sometimes there may be a few.
Visit the ‘Studio’ and play at least 10 games to get your Rock Star Status. As your fluency of your times table recall improves, the better your Rock Status will be! Remember, to become a ‘Rock Hero’, it will take lots and lots of practise!
Time Table Rock Star Challenge Wednesday!
Every Wednesday, we will be doing the Times Table Rock Stars Challenge. Each week your child will bring home a times table to focus on improving their speed in multiplying and dividing by that particular number.
Times Table Rock Star Trophy
Our Times Table Rock Star Trophy will be awarded for effort in improving your fluency of times tables each term.
